POSTPARTUM SUPPORT

I am so glad that you are here!

I want you to know that you don't have to do this alone. For so long, there has been a stigma of processing and suffering behind closed doors and it's time to change that. Some of the most frequent conversations that I have with my clients revolve around how much they do and the self sacrifices that come along with parenting. You are doing so much for everyone else, it would be an honor to hold space for you and help you achieve the life that you envisioned!

There is so much that goes into the postpartum experience and often times there are topics that come up that are unexpected, but have a lot of impact.

  • The Imagined Child

    • Perhaps parenting looks much different than you expected and this can be a hard shift

  • Post Worthy Pressure

    • You may have unrealistic goals that you set for yourself based on what you see on social media

  • Identity Shifts

    • You new identity of being a parent may not fit with the other parts of yourself that were present beforehand

  • Friendship Turbulence

    • Perhaps the friends that you thought would show up for you aren't, and you are now trying to figure out what friendship actually means in this season of life

These are small examples of big conversations that I have had with clients. It doesn't mean that any of this will apply to you, but it important to see that the conversations we have in therapy are often beyond the basics of proper nutrition, hydration and sleep that also likely go into your postpartum recovery.
